Samoan Migration

"Searching for the Good Life: Samoan International Migration" by Unasa L.F. Va'a

Unasa talks about how early Samoans were crew members on whaling and missionary ships. Samoans traveled and settling overseas, while other Samoans returned home. No matter where they have traveled they have with them their genealogy. What is their story? Did they pass their genealogy on to their families? Who are they? Where are they? I can't help think of these questions as I read this article.
