I've spent this past week organizing family records and photos. Some of my photos need some touch ups. I don't know too much on how to do that. So, when I found out that FamilySearch.org is having a two one-hour webinars focused on using Photos. I was Excited!!!
Here is the information...

One day grandma began to share with me stories of her experiences in genealogy research and I became inspired to start my own family history. Samoan Genealogy Group was created to collaborate with others stories, experiences, resources and more that help in Samoan genealogy research.

Wordless Wednesday - Grandpa Teila
Here is my grandfather Teila Opapo and my dad Larry. I think this may be in 1950's. Hahaha! I see my dad cuffed his pants back then......he still doing that today!! Love this picture!
Satala Naval Cemetry Photo Gallery
I was visiting the American Samoa Historic Preservation Office website today. I have talked about this site on past blogs. I saw a photo collection of the Satala Naval Cemetery Photo Gallery. I wanted to share this on the blog. The quality of the photos taken of the graves is not too good. The grave photos are blurry you can read some of the headstones and some you can not. Maybe some time in the future the photos will be updated and clearer to read the headstones. Nevertheless, this is great to see.

Trying to keep up!!
Trying to keep up with things of the Samoan Genealogy Group is a lot of work. I appreciate all of you who take the time out to read and visit this blog and the SGG Facebook page. I may step away from this blog for a week. I got siblings heading my way for a visit. So, all the preparation for that will take lots of time.
